"When a Work Related Injury Hits Home"
Seaman Garson LLC is proud to announce the 2 nd Annual Essay Scholarship Contest. Last year, Seaman Garson awarded $7500 to six Cleveland are high school seniors. The attorneys are proud to serve the community helping victims of personal injury including nursing home abuse and employees disabled by a work related injury.
"When a Work Related Injury Hits Home". To raise awareness of the devastating effects of work place injuries, this year's topic focuses on the families of those injured workers. Work related injuries can be devastating to families, especially when trying to pay for college.
This year, Seaman Garson is seeking high school seniors that have been impacted by an Ohio workers' compensation claim. Did your mother or father have a work injury? Review the topic and eligibility information and submit your essay for $7,500 of potential scholarship funds.

Essay Topic
According to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation* there were 132,549 claims for financial assistance due to work related injuries or illness in fiscal year 2009. Discuss how a work related injury in the family has affected you and your family's lives and how you overcame the challenges.

Eligibility
Graduating high school seniors in Northeast Ohio whose life has been impacted by a work place injury are encouraged to participate. (Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lake, Summit, Geauga, Portage and Medina counties)
Awards
One grand prize scholarship of $3000
Second place scholarship of $2,000
Third place scholarship of $1000
Three Honorable Mentions of $500
Contest Period
The essay contest runs through February 4, 2011. All entries must be submitted on or before February 4, 2011 to be eligible.
Entering the Contest
High school seniors must submit through www.seamangarson.com their 500 word essay on or before February 4, 2011 to be eligible.
Ownership of Entries
All entries submitted to Seaman Garson, LLC in connection with this contest, along with all copyright, trademarks, and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of Seaman Garson LLC upon submission. Entry materials will not be returned to any entrant. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that if you win the scholarship contest, Seaman Garson LLC will own all rights to use, modify, reproduce, publish, perform, display, distribute and promote the essay in perpetuity without compensation to you or any other person.
Selection of Winners
Winners will be notified in early May 2011.
Use of Name, Likeness, Etc.
As a condition of receiving any prize, each winner as well as their parents or legal guardians will be required to consent to the use of their name, age, area of residence, and school name. You must also consent to using your likeness (as in a photograph or on television) and prize information, without limitations, for promotional purposes without further payment.
Release
By entering the contest, you and your parents or legal guardians release and agree to hold harmless Seaman Garson LLC, and each of their partners or employees, from any liability whatsoever in connection with entering the contest, accepting any prize, or anything that may arise related to the contest.
