David Krause joined Garson & Associates in June 2007. Prior to coming to the firm, David was a partner at another Cleveland law firm. David has over eight years of trial experience and has litigated hundreds of matters involving medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home negligence, hospital negligence, personal injury, business litigation, commercial litigation and construction law.
In particular, David has extensive experience in the following medical malpractice matters: cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, radiology, neuroradiology, urology, oncology, podiatry, pediatrics, cardiology, psychiatry, intensive care, hospital/nursing malpractice, and nursing home negligence.
My Story:
Personal goals and goalposts have played a big role in David Krause’s life. As a defensive end for Cleveland’s former semi-professional football team, the North Coast Outlaws, David was a player his teammates could rely on. ""I take an aggressive approach in everything I tackle," says David. "That goes for on the field when playing football or taking depositions fighting for my clients."
When David was deciding on a professional career he sensed that his aggressive, competitive personality and his strong English and writing skills would serve him well in the courtroom. After he graduated law school David zeroed in on the field of medical negligence and nursing home neglect. "My mother died as a result of medical malpractice when I was 19 years old, and that tragedy was also my first introduction to the legal system," he says.
As the head of Seaman Garson LLC’s Medical Negligence and Nursing home Neglect Department David never loses sight of his objectives - to achieve successful recoveries for egregious wrongs.
"I work very hard is to bring offenders in front of a judge and jury," he says. "In America there is open discussion about discrimination and violation of human rights, yet the civil rights of our elderly are habitually violated within nursing home walls. Unless frail, ill elderly have family members who can care for them they get warehoused in facilities that don’t treat them as dignified human beings, but as pieces of furniture. On a moral level I find this system abhorrent. That is why I will go to battle for these individuals and their families. I’m fortunate that other members of Seaman Garson LLC share this passion."
When David is not battling for his clients’ legal rights, he enjoys the quality time he spends with his children and extended blended family that includes Hispanic, Irish, Korean and biracial members. "We are our own model United Nations," he quips. He also likes to fish, garden, and work on carpentry projects.
"My life is so full," he says.
